EFT

WHAT IS Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)?

EFT works on the principle that trauma or emotional disturbance is held in the body as well as the mind. It works by tapping on specific meridian points (as used in acupuncture) in a sequence.

EFT is a powerful, yet gentle way of working with any experience which may continue to affect your life now. Many symptoms such as anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, and stress related physical conditions have their roots in unresolved issues from the past. This process allows the mind and body to integrate creating the possibility for you to release negative patterns and core beliefs.

What to expect in a session

Sessions are 50 minutes; and cost £50. I also see a certain number of clients at reduced rates, please contact me for details. Sessions can be either in person or online.

At the beginning of the session, you will be asked to tune into your body while thinking about the issue you want to address. I will ask you to give the issue a rating from zero to ten. You then tap along with me during the session, repeating different phrases about the issue.  We tap on various points on the face and torso.  You don’t have to dwell on painful memories for it to work.  Clients are often surprised at how much better they feel at the end of a session, saying that they feel calmer, less stressed, and more centred.

Some issues can be dealt with in one or two sessions. Issues that are deep-rooted or more complex could take longer.

Please be aware that EFT is not an alternative to conventional medicine and therefore, you should always consult your doctor or other healthcare professional for any physical or psychological condition that you may have. I do not diagnose or interfere with prescribed medication.
